Today's gonna be a short blog post because it's late and I really need to get to bed.
Today I got up about 10ish AM (I believe), got in my bathing suit, and had breakfast. After which, I went for a short little swim for about an hour with Christina (Conner and Claire arrived a little later - just as I was getting out to go take a shower). After that, I got myself all purtied up to record my song "Hope in My Darkest Hour" for the competition. (If you would like a link to see that, click here. And, feel free to vote for my entry while you're at it! :)
After that (I should mention - I recorded at the Profe's house. And Conner was kind enough to come and record me with his new camera), I returned home and worked on putting my entry together. But that only last for like, five minutes, before every one else decided to go swimming. So, of course, I went and joined them (after I got my video all trimmed up).
This time, swimming was a blast. Mainly because Claire, Christina, and I decided to take our hair out so we could be mermaids when we swam. Of course, I don't swim that well, but I'm learning! (Hence the name the Mermaid School). It was pretty fun, and I'm starting to get comfortable swimming under the water (I'll just give myself a pat on the back here). AND I learned a new trick today - that blowing water out of your nose, as you're surfacing, is how you keep water from going up it. Who knew? (I'm sure a lot of you know, but it was new to me!)
After swimming, Christina and I had lunch (Conner and Claire went home) at about 4 PM. Then we got ready to go to FHE (Family Home Evening) at 5 PM. (Which we were late because I was busy putting my entry together. The group was kind enough to wait for us. I also had another foot in my mouth experience today - which is why I official dislike fb messaging because it's uber hard to communicate clearly).
FHE was a BLAST. We played cat and mouse (SUPER intense. My hands were shaking because of how much adrenaline was going through my body. If you haven't played it...it's lots of fun). Then we played reverse charades. Followed by cake (we were celebrating the profe's wife's birthday) and tamales.
Shortly after, Christina and I returned home to do homework - which I just finished. And I also worked on my gigg stage profile (see the link above).
And now, I am heading for bed!
'Til Tomorrow,
R J Carr
